Vaccinations,  Health Requirements / Fleeing and worming
The health and safety of all animals in our care is our top priority. To protect every guest, we require all dogs and cats to be fully vaccinated, fleas and wormed before boarding with us. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations must be provided on arrival, including boosters for common diseases such as Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis (DHP/L4) for dogs and Feline Enteritis, Herpes and Calicivirus (cat flu) for cats. We also strongly recommend the Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccine for dogs. Please note that failure to provide valid vaccination records may result in refusal of boarding, as we have the right to decline admission to any animal that does not meet our health and safety requirements. These precautions help us maintain a clean, disease-free environment, ensuring every pet enjoys a safe and healthy stay.

Sustainability and Cleanliness
We take pride in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and environmentally conscious environment for all our guests. Our cleaning routines are thorough and consistent, using Vira-Care pet-safe disinfectant to ensure all areas are sanitised to a high standard without compromising animal health. We also use anti-allergy pet deodorisers to keep the surroundings fresh and comfortable for both pets and staff. Wherever possible, we adopt eco-friendly practices, including the use of an electric transport van and responsible waste management, to reduce our environmental impact. Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and sustainable setting where pets can relax and thrive.

Administering Medication
We understand that some pets require regular medication, and our experienced team is fully trained to administer tablets, liquids, and topical treatments as part of their daily care routine. All medications must be clearly labelled with your pet’s name, dosage instructions, and the prescribing veterinary practice’s details. Owners are required to provide written consent and clear administration guidance upon check-in. Please note that we do not administer injections, and we reserve the right to refuse admission or medication administration if instructions are unclear, unlabelled, or if we believe it could compromise your pet’s welfare or the safety of others. Our priority is always to ensure every animal receives the correct care in a calm, safe, and professional environment.

Veterinary Treatment During Boarding
The health and wellbeing of every animal in our care is our top priority. If your pet becomes unwell or requires veterinary attention during their stay, we will act promptly in their best interests. In most cases, we will contact your registered veterinary practice to ensure continuity of care. However, if urgent treatment is needed and your vet is unavailable, we reserve the right to use our on-call or local veterinary practice to provide immediate assistance. Any veterinary fees incurred while your pet is boarding with us remain the responsibility of the owner and must be settled in full upon collection. We will always keep you informed of any concerns or treatments carried out to ensure transparency and peace of mind.

Stress, Anxiety, and Aggression
We understand that staying away from home can be a big change for some pets, and our team takes every step to help them settle in comfortably. We use calm handling techniques, gentle reassurance, and enrichment activities to reduce stress and anxiety wherever possible. However, if a pet shows signs of extreme stress, fear, or aggression that may affect their welfare or the safety of our staff and other animals, we will contact the owner or emergency contact to discuss the best course of action. In some cases, this may include early collection or seeking veterinary advice. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a stay if a pet’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves, our staff, or other animals. Our priority is always the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of every pet in our care.

We’re proud to be a fully licensed boarding kennels and cattery, meeting all local authority standards for animal welfare, safety, and care. Our current Animal Boarding Establishment Licence is issued by Gedling Borough Council, ensuring that every aspect of our business, from hygiene and housing to staff training and enrichment, complies with the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018.
